Vinified in a 50-hectoliter barrel, the juice is on the skins for around 20 days with daily punch downs and pumping over the juice. The wine is aged in tonneaux for 18 months, and then another year in bottle before release.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eFrancesca intended to release wines with some barrel and bottle age, as she wants them showing their best on release. This full-bodied red is so complex, with notes of dark plum, cherry, anise, and spice. This appeals to new-world and old-world drinkers alike, and is an all-around exceptional bottle. We are fortunate to be the first people outside Italy to sell it.
